Voluma

We now offer the first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler for the midface, Voluma. Voluma is manufactured by Allergan, the makers of Juvederm. Voluma has been available in Canada for several years and produces predictable volume restoration to the cheekbones and midface where aging occurs.

Voluma is injected in the exam room with a small needle and requires only topical spray anesthesia. Voluma creates a natural, “lifted” appearance of the cheeks resulting in a youthful profile.

Voluma is placed deeper than other fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane. Results are immediate and individuals may resume strenuous sports activities within 48 hours after treatment.

Patients perceived themselves as looking 3-5 years younger in the Voluma clinical trial, and results lasted up to 2 years in this pivotal clinical study.
